About keynote speaker Yoko TANOKURA:
Professor Yoko Tanokura is currently based in Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences, Meiji University. Her research interests include statistical modeling, financial and economic time series analysis, investment and risk management, empirical analysis on financial crises and asset bubbles. She coauthored the book “Indexation and Causation of Financial Markets – Nonstationary Time Series Analysis Method – ” published in 2015; in the same year she also received the best paper award at the Japanese Association of Finance Econometrics and Engineering (JAFEE). Professor Tanokura has published research papers in leading Finance and Statistics journals, including Asia-Pacific Financial Markets. Prior to her academic life, she worked as currency option dealer, quantitative analyst on equity and fixed income, pension fund researcher at several firms such as Barclays, Merril Lynch, Smith Barney and Russell Investment in Japan.
About the invited speaker Cheoljun EOM:
Professor Cheoljun EOM is currently professor of School of Business at Pusan National University, Rep. of Korea. He received the Best Research Professor Award, Pusan National University in 2009. His research and teaching interests involve asset pricing, portfolio optimization, financial econometrics and econophysics as an interdisciplinary discipline.
About the invited speaker Gerald VENEZIA:
Professor. Gerald Venezia started his academic career in 2004 at National Sun-yat Sen University, National Chen Kung University and in 2005 was hired as assistant professor at Southern Taiwan University of Technology. He worked three years in Taiwan before returning to his native United States of America. In the USA he taught at Towson University and Hood College before returning for a second tenure at the new Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He is now based at Frostburg State University.
