How Chipmunk Got His Stripes Vocabulary Words 

for the Weeks of December 1st-December 12th

1.  tunnel- a passage underground or underwater 

Example sentence: The little chipmunk hurried to safety through the tunnel he dug.

2. curled- to make a rounded shape

      Example sentence: Mom and I curled the ribbon we wrapped around the gift.

3. height- the distance from bottom to top

      Example sentence: I had to stand on my tippy toes to reach the top of the bookshelf because of its height!                 

4. direction- the place or line along which someone or something goes 

       Example sentence: My baby sister walked in the direction of my mom.
