The Signmaker's Assistant Vocabulary Words 

for the Weeks of April 27th-May 1st

1.  assistant- a helper, or one who assists 

Example sentence: My dentist's assistant took x-rays of my teeth.

2. agreed- to have the same idea or opinion 

      Example sentence: The boys agreed to play basketball today and baseball tomorrow.

3. polite- having or showing good manners

      Example sentences: Our parents teach us how to be polite to others. 

4. failed- to be unsuccessful 

       Example sentence: When the experiment failed, we cleaned it up and tried again.  

5. tearing- to pull apart or rip

       Example sentence: My little sister watched sadly as our puppy was tearing up her coloring book.

6. wisdom- being able to judge what is best and right; the state of being wise

        Example sentence: We listen to my grandfather's advice because he has a lot of wisdom.
