Please be reminded that on inclement weather days Saint Ursula School follows the Baltimore County Public School decision including cancellation of all after school activities. You may also receive notification from our school email and text system. Please do not call the school or Parish office about school closings. Monday Things to Know:Ā
Week of Dec. 16th-Dec. 20th:
Reading: We will take a break from our Reading series and Enjoy some fun Christmas Stories! We will listen to, "Turkey Claus," Mooseltoe," Click, Clack, Ho, Ho, Ho!, and " Snowmen at Night." We will sequence the stories, work on sounding out CVC words and our rhyming skills.Ā
Sight words: I, like, the, and, see, we, a, to, come, me, with & my.
Math: We will continue on outĀ unit 7: 2D & 3D shapes. We will learn about our 2D shapes; circle, triangle, square, rectangle, diamond, trapezoid, hexagon, octagon, pentagon. Students will be able to identify teen numbers in the āten and some moreā way.
Handwriting: We will be working on our FIRST names Kindergarten style. A capital letter at the beginning of our name and the rest lowercase. (ie. Deirdre ).Ā Ā
Religion: We will recognize that Jesus is coming and we get ready! We will light the 3rd and final advent candle. We will talk about the Nativity scene and the birth of Jesus.Ā
Social Studies: We will start our unit on Christmas Around the World. Ā Students will reflect on the Christmas celebrations and traditions they have shared with their family and friends. Ā Students will recognise that Christmas is celebrated in different ways around the world. We will be learning and traveling to Mexico and Japan. We will finish up traveling after Christmas with Italy & China!Ā
