NEW Race for Education Sponsor Letters

Today or tomorrow your child will be coming home with a folder of instructions, letters, and envelopes for our Race for Education fundraiser. In order for students to qualify for the prizes and awards, the letters need to be returned to school signed, stamped, addressed, and sealed by Thursday, March 26, 2026.

NEW Save the Date- Mother Son Sports Jam

The Mother Son Sports Jam has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 25th 6PM to 8PM. There will be an opportunity to purchase tickets if needed. The Mothers' Club will be sending an email to all who registered for the original date. Please respond to that email if you are unable to attend, so that they can issue a refund. To help keep all our students and staff healthy, please follow these handbook guidelines when deciding whether to send your child to school:

Fever: If your child has a temperature of 100°F or greater, they must stay home until they have been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.
Vomiting: If your child has vomited within 24 hours of the school day, they must remain home.
Diarrhea: If your child experiences diarrhea, they must stay home until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.

Monday Things to Know:

Week of March 23rd-27th:

Reading: We will start unit 5: Lesson 23: How Things Grow. We will listen to the story, "Oscar and the Frog," and "Zinnia's Flower Garden," in order to identify the setting, characters, and sequence of events. We will identify key details from the story. We will use our book handling skills in order to read "My Pet Dog," and "Ben and Jen," in our student readers in small groups. I can use clues from the pictures to help me read. We will review, identify, write and read all 6 of the sight words from this week; all, her, over, she, some & when. We will use our sight words to write/read them in sentences. We will recognize, write, and learn the beginning sound of the letterEe- Edna Elephant. We will continue reviewing rhyming, initial, ending and middle sounds, and parts of a word with Heggerty.

Religion: We will continue to learn about the Easter Story through our Resurrection eggs. We have been opening an egg a day! We will learn that Jesus gave his life for us. We will listen to the Gospel, "The story of Holly Week."

Social Studies: We will finish up our Force & Motion Unit. We can explain what a simple machine is. We can explain how magnets are used to move things. We will take our Force and Motion Assessment Test.
