Week of December 1st- December 5th:
Reading: We will finish up unit 3: Lesson 11: Seasons. We will identify, write and read the sight words; come/me. We will listen to the story "Every Season and Jump into January in order to compare and contrast seasons. We will use our book handling skills in order to read "Come and See and Pam and Me, in our student readers. We will use our sight words to write/read them in sentences. We will recognize, write, and learn the beginning sound of the letters Aa.  We will continue reviewing rhyming, initial and ending sounds, and parts of a word with Heggerty.
Sight words: I, like, the, and, see, we, a, to, come, me
Math: We will begin Unit 6: Shapes. We will identify a circle. We will continue to learn, recognize, count and write numbers 10-19. We will continue to understand that teen numbers are ten and some more. Â
Handwriting: We will be working on our FIRST names Kindergarten style. A capital letter at the beginning of our name and the rest lowercase. (ie. Deirdre). Â
Religion: Students will recognize that Jesus is coming and we get ready. We will light the 1st candle on the Avent wreath that stands for Hope. We will identify Advent and Christmas as times in the Church Year.Â
Social Studies:  We will reflect on the Christmas celebrations and traditions we share with family and friends. We will recognize that Christmas is celebrated in different ways around the world. We will learn about our own traditions in the USA before traveling to the Netherlands and France. Â
