Reminders:
To help keep all our students and staff healthy, please follow these handbook guidelines when deciding whether to send your child to school:
Fever: If your child has a temperature of 100°F or greater, they must stay home until they have been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.
Vomiting: If your child has vomited within 24 hours of the school day, they must remain home.
Diarrhea: If your child experiences diarrhea, they must stay home until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.

NEW Inclement Weather Policy
Please be reminded that on inclement weather days Saint Ursula School follows the Baltimore County Public School decision including cancellation of all after school activities. You may also receive notification from our school email and text system. Please do not call the school or Parish office about school closings. Monday Things to Know:Â
Week of Feb. 24th-28th:
Reading: We will continue on unit 4: lesson 19: "Outdoor Adventures" in our reading series. We will read the story, "Nicky and the Rainy Day" & "Sheep Take a Hike," in order to understand cause and effect. We will identify setting, character, and story sequence. We will learn our 6 new sight words; go, for, here, they, soon, & up. We will read our sight words in sentences. We will use our book handling skills in order to read,"Go For It!" & "Dis For Dad." We will review our alphafriend Dd-Dudley Duck. We will learn the sound and items that begin with the letter sound Dd. We will continue to recognize, produce and identify rhymes. We will continue to work on beginning sounds/ending sounds and sounding out CVC words; ie. C-A-T
Sight words: I, like, the, and, see, we, a, to, come, me, with, my, you, what, are, now, how, is, many, of, so, where, but, came, find, from, on, this, be, into, that, who, will, your, go, for, here, they, soon, & up.
Math: We will start unit 10: Addition. Students will combine sets and grasp a firm understanding of number facts to 10. Students will combine sets of objects up to 10. We will understand all the possible sets/ways up from 5-10. We will be able to understand combinations to 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10 and the missing part to make 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10. We will learn about the plus and minus sign. We will add with 0 too!Â
Handwriting: We will be working on our FIRST and LAST names Kindergarten style. A capital letter at the beginning of our name and the rest lowercase. (ie. Deirdre Callinan). Â
Religion: We will learn that God's goodness grows in our hearts. We will identify what plants need to grow and bear fruit. We will recognize that s person's actions are like a tree's fruit. We will recognize that loving actions are like good things that grow in garden.Â
Social Studies: We will finish our Unit on Black history. We learned about Barack Obama, Ruby Bridges, and Rosa Parks. We will learn about Mae Jemison, Bessie Coleman, George Washington Carver,Â
