Students who took IB exams during the May 2025 session have been sent an email with their login information.

Candidate results

• Candidate Results published: July 6

• Students should go to https://candidates.ibo.org/ and use their PIN to access their results.

• Students with further questions should email cmanrique@sturgischarterschool.org (East) or jcarman@sturgischarterschool.org (West).

Issue of results to universities and admissions centers

• Sturgis requests, on behalf of the student, that results be sent to one university or admissions center. If students wish to send to another institution, Sturgis will do so free of charge until June 15. After that date, the student must make this request through the IB using their PIN. A fee will be charged. Go to: https://rrs.ibo.org/replacement_orders/index.cfm.

Enquiry Upon Results (Asking for a remark)

• If students missed the diploma by one point, or if they feel like their grade does not reflect the work they produced, they may submit an Enquiry Upon Results (EUR). In an EUR, the IB remarks the component(s) in the subject submitted. The cost is $127 per subject that is remarked, it is not guaranteed that it will increase the score and upon remarking by the IB, they could also mark it down. After an EUR students will receive the score they determined, even if it is lower than the initial score.

• To submit an EUR for a subject, contact the IB Coordinator, expressing your wish to do so and pay the $127 in the form of a check to Sturgis Charter Public School.

Dear Sturgis Families, 

Sturgis Charter Public School is committed to enrolling and retaining a diverse student body and faculty who have a sense of belonging. In accordance with state and federal regulations, students are enrolled regardless of immigration status. Information on immigration status is not collected at the time of enrollment, in keeping with these policies. 

Sturgis follows state and federal guidelines, including the Attorney General's Office memo titled “Guidance Regarding K-12 Schools’ Obligation to Protect Students and Their Information” (translated copies here) on January 27, 2025, that create rules for keeping both student information and student spaces safe from third parties.  

Sturgis has a robust plan to ensure that student learning is not interrupted and that students feel supported. Faculty and staff have been trained and updated on all current guidelines. It is our hope that families know we are a community of care and concern for all our students, and take our responsibility to protect their privacy seriously.

Families are encouraged to regularly update contact information, including any emergency contacts. The Planning for Family Emergency packet can be useful, as is the Emergency Planning Guide for Families. Information on rights can be found at MIRA Coalition.

 Attendance Procedures

We ask that you use the Attendance Reporting Form to inform the school of any absences, tardies or dismissals. The form is located on the right hand side of the East Campus homepage of the website and on your Community Portal.  This form should be completed by 9AM on the day of the dismissal.  If a need arises to dismiss after 9AM, please call the main office to report the dismissal. 

Please come to the main office when dismissing your student.

How do I reach my child during the school day?

As students will not have access to their cellphones during the school day, except during lunch (11:35-12:30), please try to communicate daily plans with your child prior to school.  If you need to reach them, you can either

• leave a message on their cellphone to be retrieved during lunch

• if it is time sensitive, call the main office and we can deliver a message 

If you need to drop something off for your student, please bring it to the office and the student can pick it up there.

 Financial Assistance

We encourage families with financial need to apply for this program.  If your child has received a free or reduced lunch in the past, please note that the federal government requires that you reapply each year. You can access the application forms on the Sturgis website.  For students who qualify for a free or reduced lunch, Sturgis works with Little Sandwich Shop to provide fresh and delicious lunch options.

There are additional benefits for qualifying students including:

• Transportation to and from school

• Athletic fees

• School field trips

• School events, including proms and special events

• College Application Processing Services (CAPS)
