FCPX Plugin tester & Customer Lover

Stupid Raisins is profitable, boot-strapped and growing. I built Stupid Raisins from the ground up without taking investor money or borrowing cash. That means I don't have to answer to any outside influences!

It's time to make Stupid Raisins more than just me. It's time to build a killer team that can do great work with great people!

What it’s like to work here

As a raisin hater, you'll work in a calm and interesting environment. There are rarely emergencies that require all hands on deck. In fact, I can't remember the last emergency besides running out of chocolate chip cookies.

You'll focus on producing great work without distractions. You'll have freedom to explore ideas and freedom to create work you love and can be proud of.

You'll work with happy, thoughtful people that are a joy to interact with. No bad vibes allowed!

Most of out communication will happen online through chat, video, Trello and Slack.

What you’ll be working on

You'll spend most of your time in Final Cut Pro X testing new effects and plugins. The rest of your time will be spent answering customers questions and helping them get the most out of Stupid Raisins plugins.

• Download, install and thoroughly test new FCPX plugins
• Try and break the new plugins. I dare you!
• Give your feedback to our plugin creators
• Answer customer questions through email, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram

The good, the bad, the ugly

I've already told you about the good. Just like everything in life, there are bad and ugly parts of this job. Let's face it, no job is perfect! Here are some of the hardest parts of this job:

• You may get hung up on a problem for a while.
• The work may feel a bit routine over time
• You may not have a lot of direction and you'll have to research and find solutions.
• Remote work can be isolating and you may feel lonely. That's why it's important to have a great support system of friends and family around you.
• We'll communicate primarily online and that may be frustrating when we can't see each other face to face.

Hours

To start, this will be part time as a contractor. You can expect to work about 20 hours per week. Over time, we'll ramp that up to 40 hours per week. I'd like to move you from part time to full time over a few months.
