Stupid Raisins is boot-strapped and growing. I built Stupid Raisins from the ground up without taking investor money. That means we don't have to answer to any outside influences!

It's time to grow our killer team to do great work with great people!

What it’s like to work here

As a raisin hater, you'll work in a calm and interesting environment. There are rarely emergencies that require all hands on deck. In fact, I can't remember the last emergency besides running out of chocolate chip cookies.

You'll focus on producing great work without distractions. You'll have freedom to explore ideas and freedom to create work you love and can be proud of.

You'll work with happy, thoughtful people that are a joy to interact with. No bad vibes allowed!

Most of out communication will happen online through Google Chat, video and Trello.

What you’ll be working on

You'll spend most of your time directing plugins. That means deciding what they'll look like, how they'll animate; coaxing them to life. Our customers depend on our plugins and effects to look amazing so they can look professional. Here are a few of the tasks you'll be in charge of:

• • Manage plugin projects

  • Layout plugin look and feel with mood boards

  • Work directly with designers and animators

  • Give design & animation direction

  • Review designs and animations and give feedback

  • Review plugin icons and marketing assets

  • Outline what templates a plugin will have

  • Run plugin specifications meetings

  • Leave feedback

We make plugins for Final Cut Pro but you DON'T have to know Motion or Final Cut Pro. I'm more interested in exceptional design and animation skills. Here are some examples of the types of plugins you'll direct:

The good, the bad, the ugly

I've already told you about the good. Just like everything in life, there are bad and ugly parts of this job. Let's face it, no job is perfect! Here are some of the hardest parts of this job:

• You may get hung up on a problem for a while.

• The work may feel a bit formulaic over time (but I'd like to switch it up once you're on your feet)

• You may not have a lot of direction and you'll have to research and find solutions.

• Remote work can be isolating and you may feel lonely. That's why it's important to have a great support system of friends and family around you.

• We'll communicate primarily online and that may be frustrating when we can't see each other face to face.
