Kidz bop meets Broadway! Everyone gets a role in this summer hit megamix. Who will you become? Taylor Swift, Adele, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars?  We’re creating a live stage show with pop hits to a familiar storyline.

Magic of Matilda (Ages 8-15) (PM only)

The Broadway Experience: Matilda (Ages 6-17)

Monday-Friday from 12:30-3:30pm

Topics include:

·      Building your Book: selecting the right songs and monologues for you, learning how to show your own strengths and personality to book the role.

·      Building the Actor: Breaking down your material to create strong character choices and accurately portray a wide range of emotions.

·      Building the Voice: Includes acting your song, vocal technique principles

·      Building the Dancer: We’ll also cover how to stand out in the dance audition and help you learn what to practice at home to improve your dance skills.

·      Character Chemistry & Movement: Creating believable relationships between characters, learning how to make blocking choices when reading with a partner (very useful for cold reads)

·      The Complete package actor: audition techniques to make you stand out in the room!

$20  per week or buy a summer subscription (unlimited Tuesday dance classes) for $75.

What should I expect from a musical theatre camp?

Sing, act, and dance in a full show combining traditional musical theater with today’s pop music hits. Every student gets a role with lines!

Musical Theaer Summer Camps are a great way for kids to get their feet wet into musical theatre. Many of our students return summer after summer for our exciting themes and opportunity to perform. Camps offer half and full day options. 

Our camps are separated into groups based on age and are kept to smaller numbers to ensure more one on one attention. So while some camps may have similar themes for different age groups, each camp is catered to the age and number of campers in attendance. 

Class typically meets Monday through Friday.

Choose am session (9am-12pm), pm session (12:30-3:30pm) or full day (9am-3:30pm)

At the end of the week, the class will perform a showcase for family and friends during the last 30 minutes of their last day of class.  Some camps will have a later showcase. These details will be emailed to you on registration.

What if my child is really shy? Will it still be a fit for them?

Yes! This program is a fit for all kinds of students. Our number one goal in this program is to boost your child's confidence. They might be apprehensive to join in at first, and that’s ok! We work with each child at their pace and encourage them to participate in solo activities like speaking and singing parts when they are ready. Together, we focus on drawing each child into the experience and making sure everyone has a great time!

What Does a Day of Camp Look Like?

Our energetic & cheerful staff will meet your child at the door and welcome them into class, where they will be assigned their own colored box to take class in.  They will remain in their space for the remainder of class, and we will continue to keep them engaged in moving, standing, and sitting activities while maintaining social distance.

We start out with a group warmup activity, followed by some high energy  dancing! Sometimes we start with learning the words to a song if we plan to sing and dance at the same time. We encourage our kids to sing while they dance & focus on developing confidence & stage presence in each child.

We take a snack break halfway through the morning and afternoon session which is followed by some music activities and everyone’s favorite: acting! The kids LOVE acting out scenes from their favorite shows & movies. 

At the end of class, everyone gets a sticker & a high 5 

Throughout the week, we prepare for our end of week showcase. Family is invited to come watch the last 30 minutes of class each week so the campers can show off everything the learned during the week.
