WLCSD teachers and administrators must pre-register for individual sessions on Kalpa. If on the day of the conference you desire to make a change, you will be able to do so by adding your name to the bottom of a session sign in/out sheet.
There is no pre-registration for individual sessions for WLCSD secretaries and paras; just show up and add your name to the bottom of the session sign-in sheets for any attended sessions.
Guests and anyone who is not an employee of the Walled Lake Consolidated School District are invited to attend the conference for a fee of $50. Please pay by credit card at https://wlcsd.revtrak.net/Spice-it-Up-Conference/ When you arrive at the conference, look for the "Guests" table to receive a welcome packet.
Please make sure all devices you bring are fully charged (laptop, iPad, other mobile devices) and updated (Windows updates, tablet and app updates). Having a mobile device will come in handy to access conference information.
Also, bring your district ID badge to wear throughout the day.
Please arrive at Walled Lake Central High School between 7:45-8:00am. If interested, order and pay for lunch at the ticket window before entering the auditorium for the keynote. Sign-in sheets for the keynote are located in the auditorium lobby. Please be seated in the auditorium by 8:25am.
Most of us will come with more than one device that connects to the Internet, and there will be hundreds of people at the conference. Therefore, it is very important that each of us only connect to the wireless network with ONE device at a time for the best conference experience for all.
Please use the hashtag #WLECED (Walled Lake Every Child Every Day) for all social media posts. Share ideas, resources, and photos throughout the day.
Visit the help desk in the hallway between the B and C wings for any technology-related issues or questions. Or just stop by to say hi!
