Meet the Teacher

Hi! My name is Alisha Crouch. I teach Biology 1 and Honors Anatomy & Physiology. I also serve as a Senior Sponsor. This is my 17th year as an educator and my 13th year at Rider. I previously worked at Petrolia ISD from 2004-2008, where I taught junior high science, high school and junior high school health, and was the head softball coach. I also served as the graduate assistant softball coach at Midwestern State University from 2003-2004.

I received my Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in School Counseling from Lamar University in 2015. I graduated from MSU in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Science, back when they were still the Indians, not the Mustangs! I majored in Biology while minoring in Kinesiology. I also graduated from Rider High School in 1999. While attending Rider, I was a member of the National Honor Society, graduated in the Top 10% of my class, was a varsity starter for both the basketball and softball teams, and was Drum Major in the band.

My husband, Jeremy, is the head baseball coach here at Rider and also coaches football and teaches World Geography and Health. We have been married for 10 years and have three handsome sons: Boone (8), McCoy (7), and Hayes (5). We also have two shepherd-mix dogs named Lucy and Crash.
