Have you worked at another school before? If so, where?
I’ve been teaching Art for 12 years - for the last 11, I’ve taught at Dunns, Springbrook, State Street, and Bradford! This is my first year at WHS.
Where did you go to school (your education)?
I went to WHS when I was in high school, and I double majored at Rhode Island College.
What was your first paying job?
My first paying job was when I was 14. I worked in a cafeteria at a nursing home, doing dishes and making breakfasts.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment so far is having my own pottery studio in my basement, and making a small business out of that skill. I love making pottery, and to have other people appreciate what I do is a great feeling.
Do you have any pets? If so, what are they?
I don't have any pets, but I do have a stray cat that comes to my house like clockwork, and we hang out a lot. So I guess I’m a cat auntie lol.
What is your favorite holiday? (If you don’t celebrate holidays---What is your favorite season?)
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. I love that there's not a lot of pressure around it, just a good excuse to eat delicious food, and hang out with people you love.
What motivates you to get up in the morning?
The idea that I could make someone's day better helps me stay motivated. That, and a ton of coffee.
What is your favorite part of WHS so far?
My favorite part of WHS so far is seeing familiar faces of students I've had in elementary, and being able to spend time with, teach, and create with students. Working with Mr. T, Mrs. A, and Mr. Kelly is awesome too, I feel super lucky!
