Have you worked at another school before? If so, where?
Yes, South High School in Worcester Massachusetts
Where did you go to school?
I went to Lamar High School in Arlington, TX, home of the Lamar Vikings. I attended four universities earning four degrees. I went to college at the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, TX, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. I also went to Boston University where I earned a Masters in Business Administration. I earned a Master's degree in Mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, in Worcester, MA. I earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Worcester State University in Worcester, MA.
What was your first paying job?
I had several all at the same time. I was a lifeguard at a tennis club. I was a cashier at a grocery store. I also worked for the Texas Rangers as a toll plaza girl.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Well, to be honest with you, it's having three grown children who are productive members of society. I do feel a strong sense of accomplishment when I am able to help a student, in a way that's really meaningful to them.
Do you have any pets?
A Doberman-labrador mixed dog named Dixie. She was a rescue from Texas.
What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas. I get to spend time with my girls. It was always special from when I grew up.
What motivates you to get up in the morning?
Knowing that people are depending on me, and also to try to make the day better for everyone else.
What is your favorite part of WHS so far?
My favorite part of WHS is the school spirit. I love going to the football games and seeing the band and cheerleaders. The friendly campus atmosphere is very welcoming, and the students are approachable.
