Where did you grow up and go to school?
I grew up in Waterford, CT and got my Bachelor's degree in Art History at Saint Michael's College in VT and my Master's degree at URI.
Have you worked at another school before?
Yes, I've worked at Mitchell College, Salve Regina University and Springbrook Elementary School.
What inspired you to become a teacher?
I became a librarian first and then a teacher because I love working with students of all ages. Growing up, I loved the library but there was a mean librarian at my public library and I knew I wanted to be a librarian who would make students want to come to the library.
What is your favorite part of working at WHS?
I love seeing all of the students I had at Springbrook growing up to be interesting young adults.
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of school?
Outside of school, I love spending as much time outdoors as possible, biking, paddle boarding, hiking, gardening and reading at the beach.
What motivates you to get up in the morning?
A good cup of coffee, supporting my family and hopefully making someone's day a little better.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Being a mom to my two daughters, Lillian and Elizabeth.
What is something that most students at WHS do not know about you?
After I graduated from college, I rode my bicycle across the country from Seattle to Washington DC.
What is on the top of your bucket list?
To take my family to France to watch the Tour de France.
What are you most excited about this school year?
I'm looking forward to helping students in the library and getting to know what they like to read. It's the best when a student finds what kind of books really excite them.
