Where did you grow up and go to school?
I grew up in Charlestown, Rhode Island, and went to Chariho.
Have you worked at another school before?
Yes, I did my student teaching at Coventry High School and then worked there for a year before coming to Westerly.
What inspired you to become a teacher?
I had a family member who was a teacher and a big influence in my life. I also started tutoring in college and really enjoyed assisting students so that they could become successful.
What is your favorite part of teaching at WHS?
My colleagues in the science department (and others, truthfully). They are all amazing people whom I feel privelaged to work alongside.
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of teaching?
I enjoy golf, hockey, gardening, spending time with my children, fishing, and fantasy football.
What motivates you to get up in the morning?
My alarm clock (and supporting my family).
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Becoming a father.
What is something that most students at WHS do not know about you?
Before teaching, I worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years.
What is on the top of your bucket list?
Currently, it is to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) in person.
What are your upcoming plans for the summer?
I will be spending as much time at home as possible, but will be going out to Montana for a wedding and New Hampshire for a family vacation.
