Where did you grow up and go to school?
Haddonfield, New Jersey, and attended Haddonfield Memorial High School.
Have you worked at another school before?
My first teaching job was in Tampa, Florida. I have taught Middle School and High School English in Massachusetts before joining WHS.
What inspired you to become a teacher?
I realized I could combine two of my passions: literature and working with young people to help them reach their goals. That’s when I decided to major in Secondary Education and English.
What is your favorite part about teaching at WHS?
I love the students and staff at WHS. The school is filled with so much life, and there's such a strong sense of community and energy in the building.
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of school?
Running, game nights, and trivia.
What motivates you to get up in the morning?
Teaching brings me a lot of joy and purpose, and living near the beach.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
I graduated with my master’s degree from Boston College.
What is something that most students at WHS do not know about you?
I’ve ran a marathon, and I’m currently training for the Providence Marathon in May.
What is on the top of your bucket list?
Running the Boston Marathon as well as publishing a book one day.
What are you most excited for this school year?
To teach some of the same books I read back in high school, and bring those memorable moments from my own English classes into my classroom.
