Where did you grow up and go to school?
I grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island, and I went to Rhode Island College.
Have you worked at another school before?
Yes, I have worked at Springbrook Elementary School, Tower Street Elementary School, Bradford Elementary School, State Street Elementary School, Westerly Middle School, and now the high school.
What inspired you to become a teacher?
One of my high school art teachers made me feel like I mattered and was always in a safe place when I was in her room. I wanted to be that for other kids.
What is your favorite part of teaching at WHS?
All of my students and the beautiful pottery that they create.
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of teaching?
I work a lot with dog rescues, volunteering, and fostering.
What motivates you to get up in the morning?
Seeing what new adventures I will encounter at WHS.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Rescuing my two dogs and becoming a teacher.
What is something that most students at WHS do not know about you?
I want to live on Block Island!
What is on the top of your bucket list?
Traveling more!
What are your upcoming plans for the summer?
Going to Block Island and fostering a new dog, which I try to do every summer.
