Service Hours

Saving Grace Supply Drive: December 10th-December 20th

“Saving Grace is a nonprofit 501-C3 organization committed to reducing euthanasia rates in North Carolina by placing neglected and abandoned dogs in safe and loving homes. We are in need of supplies, including dog food, cleaning supplies, and other items to support the dogs in our care.” Drop items in room 2320. Each item is worth 20 service minutes, max of 2 service hours awarded.

Paper Towels

Disinfectant wipes

55-gallon Contractor Trash Bags

13-gallon Trash Bags

Purina ONE Dog Food

Slip lead dog leashes

Used or new fleece and wool blankets, towels, sheets and small comforters.

Recycling: Ongoing

Recycling is hosted in Ms. Stiles's room (room 204) each Monday after school. Go help with recycling to earn 1 service hour, and join their Remind with the code @whsrecycli to get reminders about it. 

Cultural Hours

Use the cultural hours form to record hours. Make sure you get a picture of you completing the activity to submit!

Spanish Movie

Watch a movie or TV show that is in Spanish or is themed around Hispanic culture. Examples include Coco or The Book of Life. This counts as 1 cultural hour.

Latino Dish

Make an authentic Latino dish! Some examples of things you can make are arroz con leche, tortilla española, or tostadas. This counts as 1 cultural hour.

Tutoring and Teacher Help

Recycling

Sign up to tutor for Ms. Anderson, Ms. Furches, Ms. Barry, or Mr. Virgil and their spanish classes. Tutoring slots are for Pack Times. This counts for 1 tutoring hour.
