is an amazing creature but it is endangered.There are about 5000 snow leopard left in the world. Let’s hope they don’t go extinct. There population is suspected to lower 20% by 2030.The WWF(World Wildlife Foundation) tries to reduce conflict from the leopards and the humans.
Snow leopard are very good hunters.They can kill prey up to three times their size.”They eat blue sheep, Argali wild sheep, ibex, marmots, pikas, deer and other small mammals”. The food that snow leopard typically eat are hunted by native people too.”As their natural prey becomes harder to find, snow leopards are often forced to kill livestock for survival, in many cases leading to retaliatory killings of snow leopards by local farmers or herder”.
Sometimes the snow leopard is known as the ghost of the mountains. Mainly because it is so elusive.Snow leopard use their white fur to camouflage with the snow. Many snow leopard are now regular leopard because of global warming.
