As the election approaches, the NYTimes will publish new sets of questions and highlight responses from any teenagers in the United States who join the challenge. If you participate, you’ll receive weekly emails from them and have an opportunity to be featured.

This four-week summer institute, also known as the cherub program, is for rising seniors seeking the inside scoop on professional journalism and looking to connect with peers who are just as passionate about pursuing a journalism career.

Each month Press 53, a local publishing company in Winston Salem, NC hosts a 53 word short story contest for writers. There's a new prompt each month and if yours is good enough, it might just end up getting published in the Prime Number Magazine! Good luck!

Do you think you have the chops to be named Student Journalist of the year for North Carolina? If so, apply to NCMA's Journalist of the year for seniors!
The winner receives the $3,000 Rachel Rivers-Coffey Scholarship from the N.C. Press Foundation and is eligible to submit a portfolio to compete for scholarships in the National Journalism Education Association High School Journalist of the Year contest.
