The Knight's Templar
The Knight's Hospitaller of the order of St. John of Jerusalem (Shortened to Knight's Hospitaller)
The Knight's Templar was a group founded to protect pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem from pirate Seiljuks and Fatamids. They wore strong armour, had a distinctive symbol, and fought on the front line
The Knight's Hospitaller fought for a similar reason to the Knights Templar. They protected pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem. In the Third Crusade, The Knights Hospitaller lost their temper and attacked the Fatamids needlessly, after being constantly hit by arrows on their progress to Jaffa
Truthfully, there wasn’t a huge difference between the two of them other than their uniform, origin and areas of Europe where they were strongest. However, both orders were definitely rivals and when the Knights Templar were crushed after 1307, the Knights Hospitaller were only too happy to gobble up all of their assets.
