Surface: Mars gets its red color from rust and other minerals in the soil. The planet has many volcanoes and canyons, including Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in our solar system.
Atmosphere: 95% Carbon Dioxide, 3% Nitrogen, 1.6% Argon, 0.17% Oxygen, and other gases in small quantities.
Size: Radius: 2,106 miles--Surface Area: 55,910,000 miles.
Moons: Phobos and Deimos.
Temperature: -220 to +70 degrees Fahrenheit, with an average temperature of -81 degrees F.
Distance from Earth: 33,900,000 million miles.
Time to Travel from Earth: It will take 57 days or about 8 weeks to travel to Mars from Earth with current technology, which means traveling at about 25,000 mph.
This is our basic map of Acamarthia. The big, light blue center is 70 acres of land completely dedicated to technology and research. This is arguably one of the most important stations because of research's huge contribution to the evolution of our colony. The purples squares at the bottom are each separate housing areas, with about 6 people living in each. The faint blue area near the bottom is our water reserve, which is kept for any water uses our colonists may have. For a couple of other highlights, the pink area in the top-left corner is our school, the top-right corner which is brown contains our waste management facility, and the orange area in the bottom-left corner has our train station, A.K.A, transportation.
