The IMPACT Lab Secures $825,000 Florida Cancer Innovation Fund Grant

The IMPACT Lab, led by Dr. Karishma Chhabria Unrue, has been awarded an $825,000 grant through the Florida Cancer Innovation Fund to support Move & Nourish Florida, a statewide initiative designed to improve the health and quality of life of breast and prostate cancer survivors. The project will provide evidence-based nutrition, physical activity, and stress management programming while expanding opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to participate in meaningful, community-engaged research. This award represents one of the largest externally funded research grants received by an assistant professor in UWF's College of Health.
