Application to join Coding Team 2026-27 is open!
We are a student-led High School Coding Team at The King’s Academy, passionate about making computer science accessible to all. Our mission is to inspire creativity, empower students through coding education, and foster leadership in technology.
2025-26 Recap
This school year, the High School Coding Team at The King’s Academy, led by Dayeon Lim and Katelyn Fan, brought computer science education to 126 students. Team members taught Scratch, Python, and introductory machine learning to 48 TKA junior high students, 27 TKA elementary students, 6 students in China, and 45 students from 12 local middle schools in the Bay Area.
In addition to teaching, the team raised $2,000 for Voice of Calling to help build a computer lab in Tanzania. This initiative supports dozens of current and future high school students by providing access to the internet and computer science education. Through both local and international outreach, the Coding Team is committed to using technology as a tool for service and global impact.

Membership requirements:
Meetings on Tuesday/Thursday (emailed dates) in A10. If you are going to miss a meeting, please email Dayeon or Katelyn ahead of time.
You will be required to participate in at least 1 competition & log 5+ hours per semester.
