I ended up proposing an intermediate history video where I researched five of the most silly and funny history facts I could find. Looking back at my project, I ended up accomplishing a video where I discussed one of the history facts I found, the Emu War of 1932. I ended up adding a lot more pictures, than video of myself, which I didn’t envision at first.
I broke down the Emu War of 1932 (who won the war, who commanded the war, etc). The meaning of the story I told was to inform the audience about a cool and hysterical history fact, because I knew not everyone loved history, so I had to find innovative ways to reach out to a certain audience.
I learned how to flawlessly edit and clip together photographs, videos, and audio clips I found on Google and other search engines.
STRENGTHS: Some of the strengths of my work is my ability to explain the things I was talking about to where everyone could understand it, or at least in my opinion. Another strength was the edits I made; I thought they were proficient enough to captivate the audience.
WEAKNESSES: Some of the weaknesses I faced in my work was probably the fact that it took me so long to edit such small sections of a video; my work ethic would have definitely improved at the start of the editing process. Another weakness I faced in my work was probably recording the video of me talking; it looked too grainy, and made the video look like an average homemade TikTok.
Some of the challenges I faced with this long term product was definitely the internet. Whenever I tried to download pictures from Google, the internet would make the process 10x harder than it needed to be.
Different ways I would have improved my prou\duct would probably be to plan and execute better; I wasn’t necessarily bad, but could definitely improve. Also I could’ve come in and edited a lot more during AP.
For this assignment, we did double exposure portrait, in which we have our pictures taken and then incorporate another image into our face.
I think it is pretty neat how the clouds are interpreted for my hair, and the grass and rocks are interpreted for my hoodie.
The lighthouse on the side of my face, poking into my eye is also fairly neat.
So to make this HDR merged photograph, I had to take 3 pictures of something, one perfectly exposed, one underexposed, and another overexposed.
I ended up choosing the sunset because I felt like it would make a cool affect, which I feel stays true looking at this picture.
I uploaded 3 pictures to my Google Drive and put them in Adobe Photoshop, and let them merge the three pictures together.
To make this panorama, I had to take a minimum of 4 photographs and had to make sure they each cut off the last photographs border, which I felt like was fairly difficult in the moment, but turned out fairly well.
In Adobe Photoshop, I had to add these 4 photographs and let Photoshop merge them itself.
I really like how 1/4 of this photograph has a dark sky, and the rest is nice, clear and bright; I think it adds a cool contrast effect to this panorama.
Stop Motion: The Lego Adventure
What did you propose to do for this project? What did you end up accomplishing on the final project? Explain additional work you added from your original idea if your proposal wasn’t ambitious enough for an extended project.
Well at first I proposed something a lot more complicated, but then watered the story down as I moved through scenes, because I am not rich like most of these people on YouTube are that made the lego stop motion videos I was inspired by, and of course there was a noticeable time crunch. (I am not making excuses, I am just explaining how I couldn’t adherently adapt to the storyboard)
I ended up accomplishing something I would say I am proud of, even though I could’ve easily done better, I just feel like I needed motivation to go “all out”.
Pretty much most of the later story is “additional work” I just made up in my head, as I didn’t want the story to be a snooze-fest, and I wanted to have fun doing this, and not be held to prior restrictions I made for myself.
Explain the content of your animation. What is the meaning or story you told?
The content of my animation basically consists of a slow, steadily paced story that turns morbid at the blink of an eye. So a cute, civilized lego couple is on a road trip, and starts hearing weird noises that make them feel uneasy; they stop to embrace themselves, as they’re a young couple, and as they get back in their van, the noises continue to complicate, and eventually a rocket ship crashed into their vehicle, which ends up exploding. The villain, the dad, and the baby survive, but the mother parishes. The villain steal the baby, but is then halted by the dad throwing a window at the rocket ship, which stops the villain in his tracks; they fall out of the sky, but as the baby is about to hit the ground, the dad comes to the rescue, and catches the baby, saving the day (little does he know his wife is dead).
Explain the skills you learned to make your animation.
Some of the skills I learned to make my animation is utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro, learning to be patient and setting up intricate, but usually simplified scenes (time crunch, and of course I was working on a budget).
Write a paragraph to reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of your work.
Strengths: I think some of the best aspects of my project are things like independent working and achieving a finished product, that I can of course grow on.
Weaknesses: Some of the most evident weaknesses in my project are things like grainy pictures, contused white balance, and other small, but still significant aspects that are learning blocks for future projects.
What challenges did you face with this long term project? How might you improve your product on a future long term project?
Some of the most evident challenges I faced with this long term project was probably making sure all the photos aren’t grainy or blurry, and making sure things like white balance and ISO are all as perfect as I can make them.
I might improve my product for future long term projects by making sure every picture is concise in the fact that every element of the picture is proficient, and implementing new and better tactics to make sure my project is A-1.
Intro to Stop Motion Animation
In this photograph, lines are used in the two horizontal planks of the wood, which is contrasted upon the ceiling; these lines could be used to create objectives like a focal point or draw emphasis to the subject matter, which doesn't happen in this photograph, but there is still a clear presence of lines.
I used color in this photo through the color pallete i extracted. All of these colors are warm colors, consisting of reds, oranges, and yellows. I think they do a good job at relaying a autumn mood to this picture, considering its autumn right now.

The Rule of Thirds is basically where you make a grid with usually nine imaginary squares which basically helps you balance the objects in frame.
