I'm a senior in highschool and I love art. I'm more interested in the ability to craft stories and personalities through art and hope to one day achieve an aesthetic appeal. Art to me is boundless fun and simultaneously the most frustrating thing I've ever been interested in- it allows me to delve into and create worlds and characters but the one thing that holds me back is my lack of technical skill and knowledge.
I've enjoyed telling stories from a young age, whether that be through the written word or art. Although it may not necessarily be my future career, I want to make a comic or graphic novel of my own one day, telling my stories with my characters. I enjoy writing and drawing, and while I may draw more than I write, I always try to push some sort of narrative in some illustrations I do.
I consume media I find interesting in order to learn and build from aspects I find entertaining or interesting and incorporate them into my own art and storytelling. I tend to create fanart alongside original pieces due to my interests.
As far as creating art goes, I use different media. I work both digitally and traditionally. I favor inks and dry media as opposed to paints when working traditionally, and I also enjoy sculpting (on a very small scale). I enjoy using highlighters in place of when someone would use normal markers- I tend to lean towards color scheme extremes in my art, either making the colors incredibly saturated or dull.
