Painting and Drawing 

Iv'e learned better ways of shading and getting the colors to blend. Iv'e also learned how to show different values of colors to give the effect of lighting. 

My process for creating this drawing was looking up ideas and then putting them together in a sketched form. After getting the idea I wanted I got the materials and put my idea together 

The meaning of my diorama is to show the depths of the ocean along with the creatures that are in it. My idea was to show the creatures side by side and give the effect of living in it together. I made it like this because I wanted to challenge myself with depth and color. 

The fish floating next to the shark on the right side is to show its swimming in the ocean. I have a shadow underneath it to represent the fish is floating.  From the right side, you can see that the water is much lighter in that general area. The shark is even lighter in color, along with the closeness and how far I made the seaweed look to show depth and 3-dimensional.

I improved my squid, changed a little bit of the coloring, and defined some of the lines. I improved my sand, shading darker areas to show shadow along with the shadows coming off the seaweed. I also added some of the noticeable rocks and little details to the sand.
