ANGRY APPLE
In this drawing I intended to express anger with the sharp and heavy lines. I used heavy and sharp lines for the outlines of both the hands and the apple along with the facial features. For the smaller details I used the same sharp lines.
COOL APPLE
In this drawing I intended to express more of a mellow feeling with the soft and smooth lines. I used smooth and soft lines for the outlines of both the hands and the apple along with the facial features. Same for the smaller details, but for the sunglasses I used heavier but still smooth and soft lines.
Tyler The Creator-
"Flower Boy"
This is Tyler The Creator's album cover for "Flower Boy" made in Cubism. I usually do more sketches than actual fully fledged artwork so this was my first time doing cubism. I used a lot of geometric shapes and edges to add better detail, (but not too much) along with shading colors which was also sort of new to me. My main issue was time. I had a hard time doing all of the smaller details like the bees and the flowers in time for the deadline. Besides being rushed towards the end I had fun.
So this is my attempt at making a leaf with texture printing on linoleum. I showed texture by making some lines thinner and thicker to show veins along with using the carving to make shades. First I painted the whole linoleum block and add that as my lightest color to all 5 registration papers. After that I etched the parts that I don’t want to be colored by the second print, painted the block and pasted it onto the same 5 papers. Same for the last layer. This project was challenging for me because I was not used to getting paint on me and cleaning paint off of things. I also had a hard time being accurate with the block, as I was missing the spot on the paper several times. I do think I learned a lot during this project though.
