TorP/torp/TORP: Tornado Possible (Special Marine Statement and Severe Thunderstorm warnings)
EF(S): Enhanced Fujita Scale: The scale that meteorologists use for determining what 'rank' a tornado is based on wind speeds (both radar indicated and on-ground research)
EF-UKN: A tornado's intensity could not be determined.
EF-0: 65-85 mph; light damage
EF-1: 86-110 mph; moderate damage
EF-2: 111-135 mph; considerable damage
EF-3: 136-165 mph; severe damage
EF-4: 166-200 mph; devastating damage
EF-5: >200 mph; incredible damage
EF-6/Cat-6: A fake tornado and hurricane scale that people on TikTok created for fear-mongering purposesĀ
Cat-1: 74-95 mph; very dangerous winds
Cat-2: 96-110 mph; extremely dangerous
Cat-3: 111-129 mph; devastating damage, major hurricane
