You may be wondering about the origins of this podcast. If you are, I'm glad you stopped by this page. ππ
For a total of 6 years, I lived overseas with my family in both Belgium and Ethiopia. These years overseas were very formative in many ways, one way being in the way I built relationships, view the ones I currently have, and the way they are now all over the globe.
From many highs and lows that I've had to undergo with these long-distance friendships, it has shaped me to value the current friendships I have ever more so, no matter how far away they may be.
However, I would say my experience is different than others' experiences, whether that would be the physical location or situation where other people grew up and built their relationships. This has made me curious as to what other long-distance friendships are like, whether they are based in the US and globally. Hence, a podcast was born from this intricate part of how the Lord has created me.
One of the main causes for this podcast, if I'm being honest, is for my CS201 Interpersonal Comm. class through Boyce College.
However, after taking more time to think about and develop this podcast, I have experienced a genuine interest in wanting to hear other people's stories and experiences with their interpersonal relationships/long-distance friendships.Β
I want this podcast to be a safe and inviting place for all to come: to listen, to discuss friendships, and to learn a bit more about who God created us to be: people that need other people!
All that to say: I'm glad you're here! Feel free to reach out if you would like to be on an episode, or just to talk more!
