Designing abstraction

I saw a bee outside in the summer so that's what I painted. I took the picture a while ago.

I used graphite for the sketch and watercolor for mostly all of it. I just outlined things in fine point pen.

I tried to use layers to make the yellow and color pop but I used too much water for that. I thought I could fix it with the pen. That's how I got this. I'd use different methods and mediums to re do it maybe.
