Mechanical Engineering 2023
My name is Emma Beyer and I'm a sophomore transfer student studying Mechanical Engineering at Rowan University. A native of North Jersey, I graduated Randolph High School in 2015 before attending County College of Morris for 4 years, earning an AAS of Information Technology (IT) in May of 2019. I choose Rowan University as I wanted to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computing and Informatics (Rowan's equivalent to an IT degree) and began taking classes in Fall 2019. However, after my first semester, I realized that my passion has always been Engineering, and so, during my Spring 2020 semester, I completed my requirements to transfer into the College of Engineering.
Of course, given the fact that I'm currently writing this, I was accepted.
My passions are:
Aerospace Engineering:
This is part of the reason why I choose mechanical engineering as one day I want to work for either NASA, SpaceX, or ULA.
Astronomy:
I'm an amateur astronomer and frequently do astrophotography with my telescope
Gaming:
In my seldom free-time, I enjoy playing a multitude of videogames on either my gaming PC or my PS4 depending on what I want to play.
Andre is a Mechanical Engineering major with a focus in automotive engineering. He is currently part of a few clubs at Rowan University such as The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, and he is also part of the school's Baja Clinic where he focuses on the braking system. Andre hopes to use his knowledge in the study of engineering to make the world a better and safer place.
I'm a junior transfer student from RCSJ. Before RCSJ I attended high school at GCIT in Sewell New Jersey and graduated in 2018. I currently have an associate's degree in Engineering Science and am now attending Rowan University to receive a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
My name is Dana Yarem, I am a sophomore Mechanical Engineering Major. I graduated from Trinity Hall, an all-girls high school in New Jersey and attended Drexel University my freshman year of college. I originally majored in Materials Science at Drexel but realized I wasn't satisfied with that major and transferred into Rowan's Physics program in the Fall of 2019 because the mechanical engineering department was filled. I was accepted into mechanical engineering this summer and I hope to get a minor in physics as well by the end of my schooling and work as an engineer for Disney after I graduate.
