There are 7 learning modules. To navigate the modules: Watch the Module Introduction Video in the top left. Read the objectives and complete the activities. At the end of the modules, there is a form for the Certificate of Completion. In the form, there will be a short survey and a spot to upload your final product that will be created in the last module.
These modules will bring you through the Design Thinking (DT) process for a problem you have identified. First, you must identify a problem you are hoping to solve. Keep this problem in mind as your goal and inspiration of what to solve while working through these modules.
OBJECTIVES:
Learn and understand what empathy is
Identify potential stakeholders
Complete stakeholder mapping activity
Talk to stakeholders
Read 'Best Methods and Practices for Interviews"
Time Commitment: Moderate
These modules will guide you in learning design thinking through hands on application. Before you begin this week's activities, think about something you are passionate about or interested in that you want to innovate. Complete these activities with this topic in mind with the ultimate goal of designing something to improve it.

Best Methods and Practices for Interviews
Excerpt from "Creative Acts for Curious People: How to Think, Create, and Lead in Unconventional Ways" by Sarah Stein Greenberg
OBJECTIVES:
Creating your "How Might We" (HMW) question(s)
Brainstorm a broad selection, then narrow down to one or a few questions.
Time Commitment: Minimal
To promote brainstorming!
It shouldn't be too specific. Allow your question to welcome a broad range of solutions and not restrict ideation.
BUT, it also shouldn't be too broad! Make sure can identify and focus on an acheiveable solution.
OBJECTIVES:
Brainstorm with your team
Constraints Activity - individually
"Yes, And" to build ideas - with team
Document ideas and pick solution
Time Commitment: Moderate
OBJECTIVES:
Low-resolution prototyping session
Discussion of ideas
Identify any flaws
Convergent thinking
Create high-resolution prototype
Watch Hi-res Prototyping: Consulting an expert (NEW!)
Time Commitment: High - Prototyping time varies depending on project
Objectives:
Identify problems or weak points with the result
Ask yourself if this is the result you expected
Time Commitment: Moderate
To test your prototype, bring it back to the people who inspired it: the stakeholders. Contact your stake holders to schedule a meeting or conduct an interview during which you can present your high resolution prototype to them. During this meeting keep track of how the stakeholder interacts with your prototype, what they say about it, how they feel about it, etc. These are all important in determining the positives and negatives of your product. Then, complete the "Evaluating Success" activity.
Objective: Address problems with previous prototype. In this stage you will make the changes to your prototype identified in the "Evaluating Success" activity.
Objectives:
Determine the positives and negatives of your project.
If you determine the prototype needs no further changes, you are done this stage!
Time Commitment: High
OBJECTIVES:
Tell your story and present your product in the media of your choice
Presentation, Video, Essay
Your final product should walk the audience through your steps of the Design Thinking process that you explored throughout this process
Time Commitment: High
If required by your professor, submit any required documents to them!
