Welcome to Olathe West High School - Home of the Owls!
TSA Advisor: Mr. Kevin Hulsen (kmhulsen@olatheschools.org)
TSA is just one of the 9 Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) that are vocational organizations primarily based in high schools and career technology centers. Often, on the state level, they are integrated into departments of education or incorporated as non-profit organizations. Many states define CTSOs as “integral parts” of the high school and college education programs.
The KSDE-CTE currently supports the following CTSOs: BPA (Business Professionals of America), DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America), Educators Rising, FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America), FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), FFA (Future Farmers of America), HOSA (Future Health Professionals), SkillsUSA, and TSA.
Mission Statement
The Technology Student Association enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in STEM, whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.
