Semester 1 PE

Hypo-kinetic Disease Poster

Over the course of two weeks, our class was split into groups and assigned the task of creating a poster displaying information about a specific hypo-kinetic disease (a disease related to, or caused by, insufficient activity and lack of regular exercise). We were given a slideshow to study each disease, and compiled all of the valuable information on our poster. Our group was assigned obesity. Each member brought supplies to make our poster as neat and aesthetically pleasing as we could. Here is our final product:

Reflection

During this project, I think I did well collaborating with my teammates. I think this because I took on a leadership role and was very productive. I also think I succeeded at being a conscientious learner because I took initiative when it came to writing and drawing on the poster. I also kept our group on track and did a good job managing our time. Both of these skills allowed us to finish our poster well within the set working periods.

However, I think I could've done better at critical thinking. I think this because I didn't ask many questions. For example, anything my group mates told me to write on the poster, I wrote without hesitation. I also think I could've done better communicating because I didn't talk much with my teammates about how they wanted the poster to look. I think that if I had done a better job speaking and listening, I could've made our poster better and more reflective of us as a group. In future projects I would like to apply what I've learned from this experience in order to have the best outcome.
