Build a Band

Introduction

We started off by getting all the measurements for the intruments. This was getting the correct length so we could get the right notes. When we started the building proccess,  we wanted to make the guitar first. We did this because we thought it would be the most difficult and time consuming instrument to make. Then we got started on the chimes and flute. We had two people working on each instrument at a time so we could get it done faster. After that we had to figue out what our forth instrument would be.  We chose a drum because it was simple and cool to make. That only took us a day. Once we finished the instruments, all we had to do was tune and create our Instruments document.

Frequency: Different frequency give us different notes, so we had to create different frequencies on our instruments.

Wavelength:  Wave length is how long a wave is and it can control the frequency of a wave.

Wavespeed: The wavespeed determines how fast a wave is. It also contributes to the frequency of a wave.

Amplitude: Aplitude is the volume of the sound, so we tried to make our instruments and amplified as possible. Amplitude can be controled by the material.

Transverse wave: A transverse wave is light and other things on the electromagnetic spectrum. It does not require a medium.

Longitudonal wave: A longitudonal wave is sound and it does require a medium. It also travels slower than a transverse wave.

Electromagnetic spectrum: The electromagnetic spectrum shows different types of radiation and what their frequencies are.

Reflection

This project is where I definetly improved on my leadership skills because I took on a lot of work and tried to motivate other people in my group get things done. I also did a lot of planning for this project which also ties into leadership, but it also show some improvement in my collaboration. I feel like I could have worked on my empathy more during this project because I repeatedly got frusterated  with other group members for lack of effort. I also think that my leadership still needs work even though I am improving because that is what my group scored me the lowest in for our group scoring.
