Moving to MA
Francisco has lived in Waltham, Newton, Wellesley, and for the past years, has been settling down in Needham. Moving to Massachusetts was a big change from Houston, with a small Mexican and overall Hispanic population. He states it was "a race to learn: new foods, city, language, rules." However, this only supported his love for the country.
Francisco is a proud American citizen and is grateful for the rights and freedoms he was granted when crossing the Rio Grande. He stays optimistic about all parts of his life and is forever grateful for the multitude of 'life gifts' he has recieved.
"There is protection for all human life under the Constitution of the United States. All human life is protected. When I was growing up, I really felt like I could be robbed or shot at any moment. In America, you feel safe, or at least safer."

Coming to Needham
Today, Francisco is a happily married father of five. Following in his parent's footsteps, he owned small restaurants in other towns before finally creating Hungry Coyote of Needham, MA. He loves being the owner of this restaurant, and it has been successfully running since 2017. "When I was growing up, I really felt like I could be robbed or shot at any moment. In America, you feel safe, or at least safer." It was a risk for his family to even exist in Mexico, and impossible for anyone to thrive. Overall, Francisco has no regrets, and he takes pride in the life he created for himself: "If you work hard and respect the law, you will have a good life."
Mexican Culture
Francisco has remained connected to Mexico and his culture. He and his children are fluent in Spanish, and he does his best to make (amazing) authentic Mexican food at his restaurant. Francisco and his family spend many vacations and summers in Mexico, and he even decorates this restaurant for the Mexican holidays he celebrates.
