Potential Prom Themes

Spring is quickly approaching, along with festivities such as Senior Assassins, Senior Skip Day, Senior Sacrifice, and Prom. Student council is busy cooking up a theme for an exciting night of dancing, food, and camaraderie. Here’s an inside look at the themes they’re considering.

Meat 

You know it, you love it. Be a risk taker at “Meat Prom”: find fashion inspiration from Lady Gaga’s iconic look from the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, bump patties on the dance floor, and enjoy a night of raw, unpasteurized fun! The venue will be the elegant Lord Jeff’s Meat Place in Roxbury, so please dress accordingly to his lordship’s high standards. 

The Great Molasses Flood 

They say that even 104 years later, on a warm day in Boston you can still smell the molasses wafting through the air…Get ready for a sticky sweet night of dancing and frivolities at Boston’s historic Langone Park! Enjoy an extra sloooooow dance with your sweetheart. Let’s paint the town brown!

Top 10 Funniest Family Guy Moments 

What could be more entertaining than the hilarious antics of the Griffin family? If you’re feeling at your “Lois,” boost your confidence with a spiffy outfit. Dance the night away to ambient background noise of Family Guy clips, accompanied by footage of Minecraft parkour gameplay and slime tutorials. Dinner will be a delicious beef “Stew”-ie with a side of “Peetah” bread. Don’t forget to save room for dessert: a succulent “Brian.”

Lesotho: Land of Mystery 

Take a journey to this mystifying country that no one has ever heard of and enjoy a night of mystery and intrigue. Partake in cultural dishes such as “food” and “beverage” and dance the night away to traditional music such as “a song” and “some instruments.” The venue is still TBD…it could be anywhere.
