This month, we will be featuring a fashionista whose outfits left some Hilltopper members quite impressed. Vijay Fisch, a member of Needham High School’s class of 2022, has recently been rocking layered outfits and accessories in the halls of Needham High School, despite being in the tumultuous junior year, a year which has the tendency to drain the spirit and motivation out of many juniors, filling junior-level classes with sweatpants, sweatshirts, slippers, and the bare minimum when it comes to outfits. Even this week, when Vijay has his SATs coming up (everyone wish Vijay good luck!!), he still has posted a fashionable Instagram post, and has several trendy outfits planned for his in-school week. Let’s get to know our fashionista of the month a bit more!
What is your least favorite animal? I’d say geese. They’re just so loud and sometimes when I just want some peace and quiet they just go off.
If you could pick one superpower, which would you pick? This is a hard one, but I’d say speed, both in making decisions and running fast, too. I can be indecisive, and I also just wanna be able to get places faster.
What brand of toothpaste do you use? The Colgate Spongebob toothpaste>>>
What’s your favorite burrito place? Anna’s, for sure
If you could go on vacation anywhere in the world where would you go? Right now, I need a beach. It’s been too long.
What reality TV show would you want to be on? I don’t really watch reality TV so I need some recommendations, but I’ll just say a TV show I love since I can’t choose. I’d say Stranger Things. I love the characters, and I’d also love to see that time period.
Favorite floor of the high school? I’d have to say the 400s. There’s some nice chairs and the library, and it’s pretty equidistant from all my classes.
What’s your favorite place to shop? I love thrifting so much, but I also like Pacsun and Etsy. The idea of thrifting is so great to me. First of all, I really like searching through the aisles, not really looking for something specific, and just hoping to get lucky. There’s always so many options. I also love that the clothes are being recycled, which is much better for the environment (less clothes going to the dump), and also gives more options to people on a budget since the prices are so low.
*@Vijay, we here at The Hilltopper think you should be friends with last month’s fashionista, Kate Griffor! She’s also big on the thrifted and recycled clothes*
What’s your usual process for picking out an outfit (e.g., The night before? One attempt? Many attempts? How long does it usually take you to get ready? etc)? I’m a planner for sure. It can be kind of excessive but it’s Sunday night right now and I have my outfits planned through Thursday.
