"He was an icon, a real trendsetter who was doing his own kind of personal branding before it was popularly done," - Anonymous customer
Ernie Boch, also a resident of Norwood, graduated high school in 1946. Ernie spent two years in the army, then ended up working in a shoe factory in New Hampshire, before working for his father and his car dealership. Ernie came back to the family business because his father was ill and he needed to save it. Boch would end up owning the majority of the "Auto Mile" on Route 1. Ernie also owned the New England Subaru branch along with many radio stations.
Harry started working for the Boch businesses as a mechanic in 1953. In 1954 Ernie and Harry met each other at one of his garages. Harry's work was so impressive to Ernie that he would be continually promoted throughout the company to be one of the highest paid mechanics that worked for the Boch company
After working for Ernie for many years Harry met Ernie's sister, Laura Boch, whom he would later marry and have two children with, Kathy and Thomas.
Harry retired in 1987 after working for Boch for almost his whole time in America. He then lived out the rest of his life in Norwood, Mass with his wife and kids until his daughter, Kathy, and his son, Thomas both went to college and moved out.
On January 26th, 2020 Harry passed away. His legacy was not forgotten though. Harry instilled his work ethic and perseverance into every person that he met. "He didn't let you have any excuse for slacking off" -Harry Rose. Harry's experience with the war and his multiple moves across three different countries gave him a story to tell to go along with his nonstop strive for success he imprinted on all those around him. Both of Harry's kids would have children of their own after marrying and the Fraser legacy lives on today through them.
