Meet Recap

Both the girls and boys teams finished a solid fourth at the annual Pierz Pioneer Invite, despite struggling through illnesses, injuries, and even vacations. Both the boys and girls teams were led by great performances by the distance crew. The meet began with both 4x800 Relay teams capturing first place. The girls team of: Bethany TenHaken, Emma Bolt, Sarah Manoleff, and Jerica Ploeger cut time from their last meet. The Boys team experimented with a slightly different line up inserting Harrison Shepard in for Keaton Martin, along with regular runners: Zach Patten, Sam Bolt, and Joe Baker. The experiment proved successful as the team also dropped time.

The distance crew also added other top individual performances. Brittany Hansen dominated both the 1600m and 3200m Runs. Jerica Ploeger ran a confident 1600m Run to give the Wolves a 1-2 finish in that event. Bethany TenHaken and Emma Bolt also gave the team a 1-2 finish in the 800m after leading the race from start to finish. The boys distance runners also turned in great individual performances. Keaton Martin is off to a great start this season winning the 1600m and running under 5:00. Joe Baker also looked good for this point in the season, winning the 800m.

Our sprinters and field event athletes did a fantastic job also, many finishing in the top 5, but also many that keep improving their times, heights, and distances.

• Andrew Tweet - 2nd in the 100m, 2nd in the 200m,

• Gage Thomas-Ferry - 5th in the 100m, 5th in the 300m Hurdles,

• Mitch Garber - 3rd in the Long Jump
