Remote Learning Resources for Parents

Lewiston School District teachers are working to put together lessons that will assist students in maintaining or strengthening the learning done this year. Keeping the connections between teachers and students is our top priority, and consistency with learning is key.

In addition to teacher lessons, the Lewiston School District curriculum department has put together a variety of resources which are currently available for students to access from home. Some of these may already be utilized in the classroom (ex., Istation for grades K-6), and others may not. Our goal in putting this page together is to offer additional, optional resources that families may wish to utilize when classroom work is completed.

Many of the resources will require an account be set up for the student. Again, because these resources are optional to use, it is up to the parent/guardian to review the Terms and Agreement and determine whether creating an account is in the best interest of the student and family.

As our team continues to find additional, high quality resources for home use, we will add to the document.

Math

There is a free 90 trail for students to work at home. This is good practice to reinforce skills and will adapt to students’ needs to meet them to where they are.

Youcubed is here to help students at home continue to explore and learn maths in rich and creative ways. We are collecting here modified versions of our tasks to be more home-friendly, as well as some new explorations designed for learners at home.

At Desmos, we're on a mission to help every student learn math and love learning math. We accomplish this goal by building dependable products and meaningful partnerships.

To continue spreading the joy of math, we built hundreds of digital activities covering grades 6–12 and expanding quickly to other areas of math. These activities take advantage of everything that makes computers special. They invite students to create their own mathematical ideas, rather than just consuming ours. They encourage students to share their creations with each other, rather than with a grading algorithm. We distribute these activities for free on our website and through partnerships with curriculum publishers.
