Hello!
Hello and Welcome to 5th Grade!!
My name is Krista Ziccarelli and I am very excited to be your child's teacher this year. Just a little bit about me.......I graduated from Carthage College with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I started my career at Mahone Middle School teaching 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Math/Algebra and most recently have been teaching at Pleasant Prairie Elementary for the past 8 years.
I am married and have 3 kids, Tony who is 20, Amelia, 8th Grade and Marco, 6th Grade at Mahone! I also have two dogs, a beagle named Cooper and a poodle named Carmela. In my free time you can find me at a football field or a a track field attending my children sports practices or games.
Ever since I started teaching, I have been passionate in my commitment to three things: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students’ interest in learning, and instilling a sense of self-worth among all students. I want your child to feel comfortable and have fun each and every day.
