Ms. Gabriel's Classroom
Welcome to Pleasant Prairie Elementary! My name is Emily Gabriel and this is my second year teaching here at Pleasant Prairie. I taught fourth grade last year and I am so excited to teach third grade this year. Third grade is such an exciting year filled with learning, creativity and fun! I graduated from Carthage College with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education.
I believe in the importance of creating a safe, positive and compassionate classroom environment in which your child can thrive. It is my goal for students to feel inspired, empowered and respected. I believe the key to a successful school year is communication. Through weekly updates and emails, I will keep you informed about homework, curriculum and other classroom activities to ensure a terrific school year!
I grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois and just moved to Kenosha this past summer. I have two brothers, Sam and Jack, who are both in college. Education is highly valued in my family. My mother is a school secretary in the Chicago area and my brother, Sam, is attending Carthage College to be, guess what, a third grade teacher! Outside of school I enjoy running, spending time with family and friends, and eating out at local restaurants!
