Hello JC1s! I am Raenisha, President of the 6th Students’ Council. First and foremost, a warm welcome to YIJC! 

When I was in your shoes, I was feeling a myriad of emotions both good and bad. I felt excited as this was a start to a new chapter of my life but at the same time, I feared I would not be able to adapt and get accustomed to school life here in YIJC. Fortunately, I was proven wrong. 

After spending almost a year here, I can assure you that there is a certain charm to YIJC that uniquely makes it our second home. What is it you may ask? It’s you! Our college culture is shaped by none other than YIJCians, from your seniors to your batch! Everyone has a part to play when it comes to forming a special bond and camaraderie with one another. 

During my time here, I have learnt it is best to always be open-minded and be receptive to the new changes happening around you. Let me assure you that you will forge lasting friendships and create fond memories with your peers, seniors and teachers in your time here at YIJC. It may be tough at first but through this process, you will discover life-long friendships, mentors and find people alike to journey with in YIJC! 

Do not fret, your teachers and seniors will always be there with you on every step of your journey! Be rest assured that your time in YI will be an enjoyable and memorable experience you will look back on with fondness.
