I joined the Student Council and became a Peer Support Leader in 2022, my first year of secondary school. These roles allowed me to engage in activities like Basic Leadership Training, Sec One Orientation, cheering sessions and more. In 2024, I ran in the Head Student Leader Election and was promoted to ExCo In-Charge for the Peer Support Leaders. Through these experiences, I learned the value of teamwork, empathy, and clear communication. These experiences also allowed me to build my skills and connect with peers.
As the ExCo In-Charge for the Peer Support Leaders, I frequently engaged in guiding and supporting my schoolmates through challenges and conflicts. This role allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of others' emotions, motivations, and struggles, skills that are closely linked to Psychology. The experience of stepping into their shoes and offering meaningful support sparked my curiosity about the human mind. I became fascinated by how empathy and support can significantly impact someone’s well-being
