Becoming an Emergency Room (ER) Nurse would allow me the opportunity to save people's lives. What had drawn me to become an ER Nurse was during a time when I had been admitted into the ER. As a patient, I became exposed to the tasks and skills the nurses demonstrated. This had sparked my interest of immersing myself into this kind of work.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), I am able to help others from varying age groups in many different areas. While not exactly the same as a physician, FNPs work similar to that of a physician. As being a patient myself and witnessing the work of physicians, I became drawn to doing that kind of work as my career. I have the opportunity to help others live a better quality of life.
