Recognize common occupational therapy models and developmental theories and be able to apply them to understand and explain aspects of behavior and development (B 3.1, 3.2).
Describe and demonstrate the purposes, methods, and processes of occupational therapy assessment in the area of pediatrics, including an introduction to some commonly used occupation-based standardized evaluations (B 1.7, 4.1, 4.6, 4.7, 4.8).
Demonstrate beginning knowledge regarding planning and implementing play-based interventions for children, including analyzing, adapting and grading toys/activities (B 2.7, 2.10, 5.17, 5.23).
Differentiate among the various settings and service delivery models providing occupational therapy for children and their families, including reimbursement options and legislative mandates (6.5, 7.1)."
