I have been part of Ballet Folklorico Netzahualcoyotl since I was 5 years olds. I'm in love with all the different music, dresses, colors, steps, and movements each Mexican region has. My performance ranges from small community events in local areas to preforming at the Warriors, San Fransisco's Giants, Oaklands A's Game, and Disney California Adventure park in LA.
The two videos above are from our performances at the Warriors game, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Night. During the pre-game, we performed a mix of songs from the region of Jalisco, and during the halftime, we performed a mix of songs from the region of Baja California. We have been performing at the Warriors for 3 years.
The video to the left is a recording of the frist thrid of our performance in San Diego, CA, where we were invited to be a part of Ticitozaa 2026, dancing from the region Campache. Ticitozaa is a Ballet Folklórico dance festival where several dance groups around Mexico and in the San Diego area are invited to perform and show each other their work. Ballet Folklorico Netzahucoyotl is the only group that has been invited from San Rafael, and we have been invited for 2 years now.
In early 2023, I started a dance group called Las Quetzaltecas de Guatemala in order to spread our love for our Guatemalan culture and traditional dances.
The picture to the right was taken on July 4th 2024, at the Novato parade. This was the group's first performance in public. The traditional outfit is called "Quetzalteca," originating from Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. This traditional outfit is known for its colorful huipil (blouse), dark skirt, and bright decorative details. It celebrates the region’s distinctive textile artistry and cultural identity.
The picture to the left was taken in July 2025 when we were invited to participate in the same parade. This traditional outfit is a traditional Guatemalan Maya Traje and features a colorful, intricately woven huipil (blouse) and traditional skirt. Its vibrant patterns reflect Guatemala’s rich Maya textile traditions and cultural heritage
