What is your to-do list? Are they heavy tasks? Lighter tasks?
What needs to be done today? What can be done at a later time/day?
Here is an example of how a daily routine schedule. It does not necessarily have to look like this, however, it can be a good start to figuring out what you are doing for the day. It is more specific and strategically works out how you will go about your day. Those who like to plan out their day will enjoy doing a routine like this.
Here is an example of a weekly planning schedule. If you do not want to get into specifics of what to do for the day, it may be better to write out the bigger events that you have going on in the week. This way, you do not have to think about the finer details of doing your day. This is for those who would like a more general organization.
Again, it does not have to be like this, but this can be a start! Most people are familiar with this type of scheduling and can work out for those who cannot do specific, linear planning, but still like to figure out what they are doing for the week. This can be done with a physical journal, on your phone, or via Google Calendar (looking at the weeks specifically).
Here is an example of monthly planning. This is the generic planning schedule that most people are familiar with (just like the weekly planning). If you are someone who likes to plan ahead and figure out the days to do work, relax, or to dedicate time for certain events, this is the best to use when prioritizing your needs and important events.
This can be done on a physical planner, via calendar on your phone or on Google Calendar. Be aware that it can look overwhelming seeing the different events planned, so learn to prioritize strategically!
Not everyone is a big journal person. Technology is convenient to have around and prevents less clutter (less pens, papers, markers). Some people like to have a calendar and writing out their entire month by hand, however, not everyone is like that. If you are always on your phone and do not like writing things out, utilizing the calendar is a great feature. iPads can be used for those who would like to write out their but do not want to waste paper. So, if you have access to an iPad, utilize the features and get creative! If not, there are other ways to have a digital planner.
If you do not like the calendar on your phone, another app or site to use is Google. Google is convenient since it can be on your phone (via Google Calendar app) AND your computer.
People like to write out their day. Whether it is daily, weekly, or monthly, having a dedicated journal to refer to brings a feeling of organization. Those who like to color coordinate, draw, write, and so on will greatly enjoy this type of journaling. Those who do not want to color and draw may not want to dedicate their time, which is understandable! Purchasing general planners from a store is a great first step.
People may be familiar with bullet journaling, a dotted journal that can be used for anything the person needs. Those who have an artistic side will absolutely love this. This is also a great way to destress and get your mind to relax.
