Cadet Captain (C/CPT) Vanessa Tyran is the current Primary S-1 for the Crusader Battalion Corps of Cadets. Vanessa is a Junior at Delsea Regional High School and a LET 3. Her past positions include Squad Leader. Cadet Tyran is involved in our very own Color Guard team, where she has commanded a plethora of events, as well as our Service Learning Project, where she served as the Primary Debreifer for the Wreaths of Remembrance Project. You will see Vanessa speaking at events like the Veterans Day Ceremony, Awards Ceremony, and Military Ball, as that’s her job as the adjuvant.

Outside of JROTC, Vanessa is active in several extracurriculars that showcase her wide range of interests. She plays softball, participates in Mock Trial, and enjoys horseback riding, all of which help her build teamwork, discipline, and confidence. Vanessa also has a love for singing, whether it’s on stage or just for fun. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and friends, spending time with animals, being outdoors, watching TV, and traveling to new places. These activities help her stay balanced and connected to the things she loves. After high school, Vanessa plans on going to medical school. After medical school, she will join the army in the medical field and travel the world.
