About VEX

How to join: In order to join our program at Stevenson, you should attend an annual information meeting at the beginning of the year, where you'll have to fill out an application consisting of information about you, including your previous experience with robotics/engineering, qualities, and current enrollment in Stevenson's PLTW and/or Architecture courses. From there, a certain amount of applicants will be selected and interviewed, where they'll eventually be narrowed down to join a new or existing team.

Time Commitment: At least 5 hours per week, optional meetings outside of school, and competitions.

Meetings: 3:30-6:00 pm Wednesdays and Thursdays (May vary)

Requirements:

• Some prior experience in engineering/programming/robotics
• Current or prior enrollment in a Stevenson PLTW Engineering and/or Architecture course

If you are interested in joining the Robotics Club, visit us in room 1428 and email manderson@d125.org for more information. Robotics Club officially starts in mid- August, though new members generally tend to join in early September. If you have minimal experience with robotics or programming, don't worry, we'll teach you and help you become much more proficient in those fields. We're all here to help each other out!
